Malaria Original Gin invites you to travel back in time.
It was 1840 when the troops on the military campaigns in the East Indies were ravaged by malaria. To fight the disease, soldiers turned to quinine powder which, being so bitter, was mixed with water and sugar to make it drinkable.
But that potion needed one special ingredient to improve its taste and give the troops greater heart: gin. That was the origin of the Gin and Tonic we know and love today.

Tasting Notes
Malaria is an infused gin with clearly contemporary character, marked without being invasive, approachable and very easy to drink. Served with tonic, its floral and herbal notes are lifted over a citrus, subtly spiced body, turning it into an exceptionally light and refreshing cocktail. It pairs with citrus garnishes such as orange peel, or floral ones such as rose and jasmine petals. The sensory experience of drinking it as a Gin and Tonic is completed by its distinctive visual effect: the colour shifts from deep blue to pink as it is served.
Appearance
Deep blue, clear and bright, with soft legs.
Nose
Of great aromatic intensity and gentle attack, it opens on floral notes, juniper and herbs over a subtle base of spice and moderate sweetness. On the second nose the citrus begins to come through, blended with complex spiced notes.
Palate
Very light-bodied with an attractive entry. In the mouth it shows intense character and a fresh, unctuous texture. Flowers, herbs and juniper are readily identifiable, followed by very subtle spice and citrus.
Finish
Short to moderate persistence, with a gentle aftertaste of delicate floral and herbal notes.
